• Why It’s Called ‘Signature’: The ‘Signature’ in Appleton Estate Signature Blend signifies the unique artistry and craftsmanship of the Master Blender Joy Spence – the first female Master Blender, who carefully selects and combines different aged rums to create a distinct, consistent profile that embodies the spirit of Appleton Estate.
• How It’s Made: This rum invited all it’s friends to the party. It’s is a blend of 15 different aged rums distilled using the proprietary Appleton yeast & limestone filtered water, meticulously crafted to achieve a balanced and complex flavor. They use a combination of copper pot still distillation – for their signature zest orange peel top note – a modern column still for the balance. and The blending process allows for the integration of various characteristics from each rum, resulting in a harmonious and sophisticated spirit.
• Aging Gracefully: Signature takes a beauty nap in small casks before it’s blended in white American oak bourbon barrels and aged for about 4 years.
