Chairman’s Reserve
In 2007, St. Lucia Distillers had what you might call “a bad day”—a fire ripped through the place, and the cellar master, in full crisis mode, stashed barrels of rum wherever he could find space. Closets, crawlspaces, possibly under someone’s desk—it was a chaotic game of hide-and-seek, except no one was seeking.
Fast forward a few years, and those “forgotten” barrels were rediscovered. By then, the rum inside had aged like a fine diva, developing a depth and complexity that made the regular Chairman’s Reserve look like its awkward younger sibling. Naturally, the distillery decided to bottle it as its own thing because, well, why wouldn’t you cash in on a happy accident?
So, here it is: The Forgotten Casks—a rum born of disaster, aged in neglect, and proof that sometimes brilliance hides in the places you forgot to check and by my tastebuds, this is an amazing rum!

Tasting Notes
Appearance: A rich mahogany masterpiece with golden highlights, as if it’s been marinating in class and good decisions for over a decade.
Nose: A bold, intense aroma that hits like a sweet raisin-laden hug, followed by the sultry scent of cigar tobacco. Amber honey and vanilla swirl in, smoothing things out with a touch of indulgent sweetness.
Palate: Warm and luxurious, with notes of grilled tropical fruits (think caramelized pineapple on a beach vacation) and candied walnuts. Soft spices linger throughout, wrapping your taste buds in a cozy embrace that refuses to let go.
Finish: Wonderfully long, with a balance of spice and sweetness that leaves you pondering whether a second glass is indulgent or just sensible planning.
This extra-aged blend is proof that patience pays off—and that sometimes, forgotten things are worth remembering. Best enjoyed neat, or with just enough ice to unlock its layers.
